Postcards from Hawaii : 230107

Aloha,

What a day what a day, dogs running away, image dilemmas . . what a day what a day.

I awoke to the lack of rooster noises, it made me very worried. Had I actually overslept or were the previous 2 mornings a dream? Rain and wind were intent of affirming the fact I had been dreaming but then I opened my eyes looked out the window and there were my palm trees. I'm still in Hawaii.

THE SWELL IS ARRIVING ! !

The drive past Waimea Bay was different against the previous mornings. It wasn't flat. The fabled Waimea Shorebreak was slowly waking from its slumber sending forth chills down my spine raising the few hairs I do have on my back.

All day I kept an eye out my window, peeking through the wind and rain Sunset was growing bigger ever slightly wave after wave.

The dog went missing for a few hours in retribution for the chicken I ran over yesterday, apologies to my feathered friend. I consumed one tonight in homage to the waste.

Like a true tourist/photographer I am I returned well equipped.

Two cameras two lenses, surely I will get a shot . . .

Today I bring Waimea Bay, I'm calling it 20ft Tuesday.

These Hawaiians, they will probably call it 2ft Tuesday.
