Aloha,
Another off day another chance to take a dip in the well of artistic flair. Today was a treat though, we had to do a few shots of Makua Rothman, current holder of the biggest wave ever ridden at 66ft and son of Da Hui founder, fast Eddie.
When you are born into the Wolfpack you're bound to have a certain air of something about you. Something one can't quite place a finger on. And when that is accompanied by a down to earth attitude you can't help but have the coolest dog on the block and call him Hollywood.
Funny how on down days you think you're not going to make an image that says something. Then you realise action images aren't the be all end all.
Hollywood was forced to be in the picture we wanted but here I got him in his own domain on his own time in his own mood . . he obliged with the don't touch my food stare.
Mother Nature is still having her way with the North Shore. Overnight a multimillion dollar house next to the Billabong House on the shoreline lost a foot and a half of its property. Gone, washed away at the will of King Neptune.
It looks like we wont be having a competition day for a while to come. Kona winds are predicted to return and they are already making their presence known.
I need an early night, well early'ish' night.
Good night.
