Postcards from Hawaii : 251107
Aloha
Forcasting is a tricky thing, look at the weather guy who said it would be a clear day only to have a tornado rip the town apart. Surf forcasting however has become something you could set a clock to. As predicted the waves decreased in size and then some.
Tuesday ‘should’ see the ocean upping the antee until it maxes on Wednesday with 18ft faces. Some guys in the Sunset contest are not looking forward to that prospect, 18ft Sunset is not a beast you want to tame.
A few of you would have expected a sunset shot from me by now, HAHA proved your assumption incorrect. This time I thought better to hold out till something other than the bog standard golden globe dipping below the horizon. Have you ever seen a green flash when the sun sets? Apparently a green flash occurs mini momets after the event, I am of the belief it is just your retinas being burnt and the green is the cinderings of your eye-balls.
Dan Redman claims the 2007/8 Maiden Sunset Postcard, what a special honor.
Oh Yes . . Well done Gav for popping 3 rental tyres, a fantastic achievment in its own.
Mahalo
