You would think having Pipeline as your backyard and ranking in the upper echalons of Pipe Specialists would be enough, No. Jamie O’Brien had to add another acholade to his potplants and over flowing bank balance. US$50 000 richer and 2008 Da Hui Backdoor Shootout winner Mr. Jamie O’Brien. This was one of his waves yesterday toying with the Backdoor like a declawed kitty kat.
I haven’t spotted too many celebraties on this trip but today I saw THE HOFF! Nonchalantly walking up and past me, had I been a paparazzo I could bring you the shot of him looking a lot younger than his passport would have him. Do I hear the clinking of surgical equipment? Never the less it was reported he had some very attractive young ladies beconing him for a photo op. Good on The Hoff.
Swam out again today, I probably over think things which is why I spent another 40 minutes sitting on the sand staring at a swimable shoreline. I did my “avoid the rip dance” and made it out nicely. Could have done with a lift on the jetski though, I was feeling lazy.
Finished my work with Da Hui, so if and when you see a group shot of them by Aaron try spot the ones I added.
There is supposed to be a very large swell on the way tonight but when I cycled back from a braai I didn’t see too much white water nor was there too much thunder. You never know.
Until tommorrow . . . nothing like the sizzle of chicken on the griddle with a spa tub in the background brimming with 3 bikini clad brazzos.
