Postcards from Hawaii : 220108

Aloha,

Many people flock to Hawaii, The North Shore, but few get to see it from beyond the depths of their knees. This is the view from the Pipeline.

Now you know, yes, The North Shore is all palm trees and sand. Between the palm trees and cliffs is the Kam Highway, once beyond Haleiwa it’s a two lane road, one in either direction. When the surf gets big and the roads are closed there is no way out, better stock up with supplies and bunker down.

The house on the left is the Pipe House/Gerry Lopez House, but now it is the Volcom House thanks to a few million dollars changing hands. The house on the right is the infamous Volcom House with Pipe as its backyard. The goings on during the silly season are notorious whose stories never leave the front door.

Swell dropped wind continued. No swimming today so instead caught up on some image distribution to hopefully give the bank balance a needed bump.

Until tomorrow . . Mahalo
